12 High-Scoring Argentinian Wines for Less than $100

Let's face it: High-scoring wines are expensive. When perusing our Wine Advocate reports, I often get excited about some of the high-scoring wines, but then realize my checkbook is less excited about those wines. Especially after the holidays and an Italian vacation, I'm currently in the market for some good value-buy wines. And there's almost no better place to look for high-scoring wines that cost less than $100 than Argentina. Luis Gutiérrez has penned a fabulous Argentina report in our recent Issue 228, fully equipped with a visual feast of stunning photos. And there are more than 1,110 wines in this report! Whew. So I sifted through and pulled out the wines that have scored 95 points or higher, while still costing $100 or less. How's that for a bargain? Now, I know what some of you are thinking... Not everyone has $100 to spend on a bottle of wine, which is why the range of these bottles spans $45 - $100. There's hardly a better bargain out there for wines with such high scores! Cheers to Luis for bringing these beauties to out attention.
