Evolution of The Wine Advocate Editorial Team

The Wine Advocate is driven by expertise and passion, embodied by our team of reviewers, and today we pay tribute to colleagues changing roles and also welcome a new member of the team on this great adventure.

We’re pleased to announce that William Kelley, former Deputy Editor, has been nominated as Editor in Chief, replacing Joe Czerwinski after a very stimulating three-year collaboration.

We are fortunate to continue to count Joe as part of our reviewer team, as he focuses on his reviewing responsibilities in Napa Valley, California, as well as expanding to new territories in North America. We'd also like to welcome a new face, with the arrival of Matthew Luczy as wine reviewer and manager of our US team. Matthew is a former North America correspondent for Decanter magazine and long-time Wine Director of Mélisse restaurant (2 MICHELIN Stars) in Santa Monica, California. We are excited to have Matthew’s energy and expertise onboard.

We also have to say goodbye to our esteemed colleague, Anthony Mueller, who has decided to pursue his own path after five years at The Wine Advocate. His passion for the wine industry has led him to pursue new opportunities, and we thank him for everything and wish him the best.
