Four Perfect Wines From Our Latest Issue

Our latest End of August 2019 Issue 244 is now live, bringing forth over 4,000 new wine reviews from regions including Champagne, Portugal, Mosel and South America, among others, for your perusal. Of the lot, four of them received the perfect Robert Parker score of 100 points.

“The pure Garnacha 2016 Les Manyes, which comes from a vineyard that I have been following for a long time, was my coup de coeur,” says Luis Gutierrez in his latest report on Priorat and the Appellations of Cataluña. “The wine could be confused with a great vintage of Château Rayas with something borrowed from a traditional Nebbiolo from Piemonte. I think it's the best wine they have produced to date, and I believe it truly deserves 100 points.”

Here, the best wines from Issue 244, all rated 100 points.

“On the palate, this is a rich and concentrated, terribly sweet, piquant and seamlessly textured Auslese of great complexity and length.”

“I could smell this for hours...I don't think Priorat gets much better than this! Bravo!”

“What is clear is that the the 2008 Brut Grand Cru Millésime will be worth any and every effort to seek out once it arrives on the market.”

“A testament to that magic that can be created when an uncommonly great vintage for Sauternes brings out the best of an extraordinary vineyard and is skillfully, sensitively crafted, the 2001 is a true wine rarity that must be tried to be believed.”
