Where to Find a Free-Flowing Negroni Fountain

Calling all Negroni lovers: the beloved classic cocktail now endlessly flows from a silver fountain at Dante at Genuine in New York City’s Little Italy. AvroKO hospitality group partnered with 100-year-old Greenwich Village haunt Dante in transforming their Genuine Superette into the Italian-inspired pop-up running through the summer.

Here, you’re encouraged to serve yourself at the Negroni fountain. Dante’s lead bartender Naren Young can be credited for the boozy marvel made of Bombay Sapphire, Campari and Martini & Rossi vermouth. Glasses and orange garnishes are easily accessible around the fountain, with bartenders on hand to monitor quality (and quantity) control.

Signature cocktails, bottled beer and wine are also on offer, as well as the #SummerofSpritz cocktail series, featuring drinks like La Dolce Dante with gin, limoncello, bianco vermouth, quinquina and lemon soda.

The food menu reflects Dante’s classic Italian offerings, boasting a variety of salumi and formaggi, calamari and zucchini fritti, sourdough flatbreads, pastas and tableside-served tiramisu.

When asked how long the pop-up will run, the answer was unclear. Though we can expect another partnership pop-up at Genuine as the weather turns cooler, likely reflecting the changing season. Let’s hope another classic cocktail will flow from the silver fountain.
