The Latest Wine Advocate Issue Is Here

Attention, readers: The Wine Advocate’s Issue 235 is officially live with more than 2,300 wines—many of them are outstanding, a few are downright extraordinary, and a handful of them are absolutely perfect.

In this issue, our new Burgundy reviewer, William Kelley, steps up to the plate and hits it out of the park with articles on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay royalty, chronicling the new releases from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Domaine Leflaive. Only 11 Burgundy wines have ever been awarded perfect scores by Robert Parker Wine Advocate—could this Issue include number 12?

Weighing in at a whopping 723 wines, we’re also publishing our largest Rioja report ever: Luis Gutiérrez’s ominously titled report, Rioja: Wind of Change. Mark Squires has been just over the border in Portugal, unearthing some fabulous new Portuguese Releases and luscious Ports. Hopping from the Iberian Peninsula over to the Italian one, Monica Larner is bursting to tell you all about the new Brunello Releases, followed up with a couple of tantalizing verticals from Casanova di Neri and Le Potazzine. Meanwhile, our primary sweet ‘n crisp reviewer, Stephan Reinhardt, has been slurping his way through the Highly Delicious 2016s from Nahe, Germany not to mention the 2016 Vouvrays from Domaine Huet. For those seeking wines from beyond Europe, Joe Czerwinski offers a veritable treasure trove of new discoveries from New Zealand. And editor-in-chief Lisa Perrotti-Brown has been checking out Vérite’s New Releases from Sonoma, as well as exploring Five Decades of Chateau Montelena from Napa Valley.

Here’s what you have to look forward to this Issue. Happy wine hunting!
