7 100-Point Wines From Our Latest Issue

Our latest Wine Advocate Interim Issue is packed with wines that are nothing short of profound. For starters, our Burgundy reviewer William Kelley took the opportunity to visit Domaine Leroy to taste through the 2015s in bottle, and his verdict is not surprising: “My February visit ranks as one of the greatest tastings of my life.”

Here, seven wines from the March Interim Issue—including three from Kelley’s report—rated 100 points.

“Tasted two times from the same bottle in March 2018. And yes, I left the bottle pretty much empty. That's not an all too bad sign, I'd say.”

“On the palate, the full extent of this wine's stunning amplitude and depth—and the reserves of energy that lie behind them—defy description.”

“The utterly profound 2015 Musigny Grand Cru from Domaine Leroy, the crowning achievement to an extraordinary portfolio and a wine that brought tears to my eyes, wafts from the glass with a deep bouquet of black raspberry, cherry, rose petal and spice.”

On the palate, the wine is deep, full-bodied and extraordinarily multifaceted, with immense concentration, incredible energy and a long, resonating finish.

“This is impressively intense, precise and fresh at the same time.”

“Round and lush on the palate, this is a generously aromatic, highly elegant and refined TBA with a long and finessed finish.”

“Tasted from a double magnum, the 1990 Le Pergole Torte Riserva shows an exceptionally high level of complexity and balanced intensity.”
