of Greece, noting that, while some folks may be intimidated, Greece is the perfect region for anyone who likes a perky, fresh white. “Now, that’s not all they do—some of the Assyrtikos can age for a long time from the good producers. I don’t want to stereotype everything, but Greece is doing a great job at what they do.”
The Greek islands create many different terroirs and thus have hundreds of indigenous grapes, proving there’s something for everybody. “Like Portugal, Greece has identities and terroirs of its own,” he continues. “Unlike Portugal, people know pretty much nothing about them.”
